Preloved to beloved

Join the movement and transform the preloved into the beloved. Garments that would have been discarded are selected, reconstructed and given a second life as pieces people want to wear.

Conscious Fashion gives organisations a tangible way into circularity: employees contribute garments, makers reconstruct them, and the outcome can be examined for both waste reduction and social value.

Questions, answered

What is Conscious Fashion?

Conscious Fashion is CSUN's upcycling garment programme. Preloved clothing that would otherwise be discarded is collected, selected and reconstructed into new pieces, under the idea of turning the preloved into the beloved.

How does the Fashionpreneur Project work?

The Fashionpreneur Project has six stages: collect, select, distribute, reconstruct, sell, and profit share to all. A portion of the profit is donated to beneficiaries.

How much textile waste does Malaysia produce?

Malaysians reportedly dumped a record 195,300 tonnes of textile waste in 2018, roughly 5% of all landfill space, according to The Edge Malaysia (2023).
